Why Become a Member

Becoming a member of NCCI means joining a strong and growing network committed to advancing First Nations business, culture and economic opportunity.

Our members gain access to valuable connections, business support and opportunities that can help strengthen capability, increase visibility and create pathways into procurement, investment and industry networks.

More than a membership, NCCI represents a shared commitment to building a stronger future for First Nations enterprise, led by culture and driven by impact.

Choose the Membership That’s Right for You

NCCI offers membership for Noongar businesses, other Aboriginal businesses, non-Aboriginal businesses, professionals and organisations that support our mission and commitment to economic self-determination and cultural integrity.

Membership is divided into two categories:

  • Ordinary Membership – for eligible Noongar businesses
  • Associate Membership – for partners, supporters and businesses that identify with our mission and want to work alongside NCCI to create positive outcomes

Choose the membership tier that best reflects your business and where you are in your journey.

Ordinary Membership

Ordinary Membership is open to eligible Noongar businesses.

A Noongar business is eligible for Ordinary Membership when it is:

  • At least 51% owned by Noongar persons
  • Led and/or managed by a principal executive officer, or similar, who is a Noongar person
  • Controlled by a Noongar person who holds responsibility for key business decisions relating to finances, operations, personnel and strategy
  • Operating for profit
  • Trading as a business with a minimum revenue of $75,000 or a demonstrated recent history of trade, ideally at least six months
  • Located in Australia

Ordinary Members have access to the benefits and opportunities available through their selected NCCI membership tier and may have voting rights in accordance with NCCI membership rules.

Associate Membership

Associate Membership is designed for businesses, organisations, partners and supporters who share NCCI’s mission but do not meet the requirements for Ordinary Membership.

A business may be eligible for Associate Membership when it is:

  • Not at least 51% owned by Noongar persons
  • An Aboriginal business that is not Noongar-owned
  • A non-Aboriginal business
  • Operating for profit
  • Trading as a business with a minimum revenue of $75,000 or a demonstrated recent history of trade, ideally at least six months

Associate Members can connect with the NCCI network, support First Nations economic participation and access relevant partnership and business opportunities.
